OXFORD – The Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market will be hosting The Artisans' Market this Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as part of a Village-wide Small Business Saturday Shop Hop.
More than a dozen participating holiday shops, eateries, food trucks and pubs are coming together to make for a very festive day in Oxford. The Artisans' Market will take place in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Oxford, 16 Fort Hill Park, just across the bridge from Lafayette Park.
This special Market will showcase some of the incredible talent in our community, with more than a dozen local artists and craftspeople who sew, weave, knit, turn, carve, paint, throw, spin, felt, and bead, all to evoke beauty from nature's raw materials. Vendors will have handmade wreaths, one-of-a-kind ornaments; hand carved wooden bowls, containers, and spoons; one-of a kind cards; beautiful and useful hand-sewn gifts of all kinds, such as aprons, bowl cozies and bowl covers; exquisite pottery items; wool and alpaca yarns and products, including many small stocking stuffers; jewelry, artwork and many unique gifts for kids. Shoppers can pick up an official Shop Hop "bookmark" at the hospitality tent on Lafayette Park or at any one of the eight participating holiday shops to be eligible to win one of eight beautiful gift baskets. Free reusable totes stuffed with swag, including a $5 Market coupon, will be given out to the first 50 shop-hoppers. The Artisans’ Market will be open from 10 am - 1 pm at 16 Fort Hill Park, and will be giving out hot cider and donuts while supplies last.
