LANSING – The Greene Trojans boys’ basketball team kicked off its 2023 season in the Lansing tournament over Thanksgiving weekend, going 1-1. In Friday’s tip-off game, the Trojans fell in a close 68-63 deficit to Union Springs before defeating Thomas A. Edison in the consolation game 66-37 on Saturday.
Greene returns many of its starters from last season, with William Dunlap, Jaden Eroshevich, and Trevor Ketcham, along with Parker Flanagan, leading the charge this weekend. Dunlap combined with 33 points, coming off an excellent performance in Saturday’s win with 18 points, and was named an all-tourney all-star. Eroshevich led the Trojans with a high 20 points Saturday as well. Ketcham finished with 28 points on the weekend while Flanagan provided 11 points in the win over TAE.
Greene has two scrimmages coming up before continuing the 2023 season run on Tuesday, Dec 5 at Chenango Valley in a non-league matchup.
