NORWICH — After the Clyde Cole Tournament last weekend, it was time for Norwich's third annual Coach K duals with Norwich, Oxford/Greene, Sidney, and Dryden competing.

Norwich hosts this annual tournament in support of coach Don Kovalchik, who paved the way for Norwich wrestling for over 30 years and remains an inspiration to the program.

Norwich won the tournament and defeated all three teams in Saturday's event. Three wrestlers for Norwich also picked up their first Varsity win. Congratulations to Jaxson Shaver, Jack Barnes, and Dakota Andrial. Regan Roach also had an impressive day with winning all three matches, including a tough match against Oxford/Greene's Troy Braman, where Roach won by fall at 5:45. Senior Evan Meek also did well with two wins against Sidney and Dryden, but had one hard loss to Oxford/Greene's Kade Mustin as he was pinned in 1:24.

Jaxson Shaver earned his first varsity win with a quick 48 second pin against Dryden and also earned a forfeit win while Barnes pinned Oxford/Greene's Tallon Davis in 3:36 for his first win and also took a forfeit win. Andrial won against Dryden with a pin at 3:14 and picked up a forfeit against Oxford/Greene.

Oxford/Greene's David Dunkel pinned Norwich's Evyn McKeraghan in 1:27 to stand out for the Blackhawks.
