NEW BERLIN – After starting out the season in consecutive road games, the Unadilla Valley Storm boys’ basketball team returned home to face Edmeston. The Storm played Edmeston in their previous game last Monday with a loss and this time, had the same outcome in the 54-27 deficit.
The Panthers fired away in the first three quarters, posting 20 points in the third, which left UV slow to catch them. UV was held to single-digit scoring until making a late run in the fourth quarter with 11 points and Edmeston slowed down with a heavy lead.
UV was led by Keegan Platt, off the bench, with eight points as Declan Potter and Haywood Edwards tied with five points each. Platt, Edwards, Tucker Cattanach, and Dalton Allen led the charge in the final eight minutes of play.
UV (0-5) hosts Oxford on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
