SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Vikings boys’ basketball team hosted Madison on Wednesday night, where they suffered a hard fought 69-52 loss. The Vikings have been producing well on offense, led by top senior guard Braeden Davis, but haven’t been able to hold opponents from making a big run late in the contest.
Madison showed their toughness early on and never let up while OV had a big drive in the second quarter with 20 points. OV went into some foul trouble and Madison was able to answer back consistently on the foul line and by driving the ball inside.
The Vikings were led by Braeden Davis, who finished with 21 points as Lukas Schieferstein continues to impress and knocked down two three’s to finish with 10 points. Caleb Loomis and Cole Warren both had five points in the loss.
OV (1-6) has looked confident in these tight games and only hope to bounce back against Fabius-Pompey on Thursday, Dec 28 at 7 p.m.
