HANCOCK – The Unadilla Valley/Norwich Storm bowling team returned to Fox Bowl to take on Hancock on Thursday, where both the Storm boys and girls came out with victories. The girls took the sweep while the boys lost the first game but finished strong in the final two games and had the overall high score.
Brynn Grant led the Storm girls with a 608 high series, including a 202 in the first and third games while bowling a 204 in the second game. Andie Mucha finished behind her with a 533 with a 205 in her second game as Phalen Hill bowled the highest game of the day with a 224 to finish with a 527 series. Hill has the highest bowling average in the MAC league with a 199.2.
The Storm boys won by a tight final score of 2747-2726 against the tough Hancock team. Jacob Prentice led the team with a 608 high series, where he bowled a team-high 219 in his final game. Dawson Robinson was second on the team with a 595 series, including a 201 in his last game.
UV/Norwich hosts Afton/Harpursville after the new year on January 5 at 3:45 p.m.
