GREENE – Since returning to active play, the Greene Trojans boys’ basketball team has seen its share of nail-biters so far this season, including Thursday’s 48-43 win over Unatego/Franklin. This shows that the Trojans have been keeping their guard up throughout the entire contest.
Both teams battled out in the first half with Unatego/Franklin taking a brief 29-27 lead at halftime. That small lead would hold up until Greene pushed through in the final fourth quarter. The Trojans fired up in the final eight minutes, outscoring Unatego/Franklin 12-5 to seal the victory.
Jaden Eroshevich led all scorers with 21 points as Will Dunlap had nine points and Kloden Rapp settled in with eight points, including six in the final quarter.
Greene picked up its second league win of the season and is eager for the odds to go their way on the road against Delhi on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
