HARPURSVILLE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ basketball team is rolling on with a two-game win streak after defeating Unadilla Valley and now Harpursville. The Bobcats continue to show their dominance in the big 58-12 victory and remain second in the MAC league behind Greene, who they’ll face next.
B-G stayed fierce throughout the entirety of the contest, playing a tough defense which allowed them to remain strong on the offense. They held the Hornets to single-digit scoring and even shut them out in the third quarter, where Harpursville only scored a total of three points in the second half.
With Harpursville not having a JV team, this outcome allowed B-G to call up several players, which saw valuable varsity playing time. Emma Kinter, Laila Williams, Jalyn Winans, and Kamryn Patten did well and each contributed to the Bobcats’ scoreboard with at least two points. Kinter stood out amongst the group with six points, where she knocked in two three’s.
Jayslin Henderson led the Bobcats overall with 15 points and was perfect from the foul line, going three-for-three. Marissa Mayo and Peyton Umbra both finished with eight points each while Danica Park had seven points in the win.
B-G improves to 7-6 on the season and 3-1 in the MAC division II standings. The Bobcats travel to Greene this evening, which should be a good match-up between these two teams, at 7:15 p.m.
