Bowling: UV/Norwich Honors Seniors Vs B-G

NEW BERLIN – On Friday, the Unadilla Valley/Norwich bowling team rolled off against MAC opponent Bainbridge-Guilford.

The Storm also honored the team’s five seniors; Arin Buchanan, Andie Mucha, Phalen Hill, Brynn Grant, and Nate Rumovicz. Congratulations on all your hard-work and dedication throughout your high school bowling careers.

The Storm boys fell in the first game to the Bobcats, but picked up the remaining two games as well as the overall score. UV/Norwich won 2968-2860. Jacob Prentice had an outstanding day with a team-high 704 series with a 247 in the first and a 246 in the second game. Nate Rumovicz celebrated his special day by bowling a 593 series with a 225 in his first game.

Joey Doyle led the Bobcats with a 680 series and his 244 in the first game, along with Collin Dicks’ 259 helped them take the first game by a score of 1065-1031. Ryan Larsen finished with a 585 series, where he bowled a 233 in his second game.

The Storm girls swept the series against B-G with a score of 2487-1374. Brynn Grant led UV/Norwich with a 523 series and had a 179 in her second game. Andie Mucha bowled a team-high 182 in her third game and finished with a 510 series.

For the Bobcats, Tabitha Doyle bowled a 150, a 121, and a 148 to finish with a team-high 419 series as Sophie Gold and Railey O’dell both bowled a 323 series. Kassidy Middleton rounded out the B-G girls with a 309 series.

UV/Norwich hosts Hancock this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. while B-G hosts Greene/Oxford today at the same time.
