Bowling: UV/Norwich Rolls Off Vs Sidney

NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley/Norwich bowling team is wrapping up the 2023-2024 season on a strong note after defeating Sidney on Friday. The Storm has one final regular season match to go before the MAC Championship. The UV girls have dominated the MAC leaderboard this year and are comfortable in first place with Greene/Oxford slowly creeping up in second. The UV boys are in a tight race for first place with Sidney at the moment, but after defeating them on Friday, they should move ahead.

The girls swept the boards with an overall 2943-2163 victory. Phalen Hill excelled with an all-around high of a 704 series. She bowled a team-high 254 in her second game while also rolling a 215 and finishing off with a 233. Brynn Grant followed with a 605 with a 240 in her second game. Andie Mucha rolled a 238 in her first game to finish with a 570 series.

The UV/Norwich boys let Sidney take one game, but won overall with a final score of 2979-2787. Dawson Robinson led the Storm with a top 687 series, including a 235, a team-high game of a 267, and tapped it off with a 185. Nate Rumovicz followed with a 629 series and bowled a 200 or better with his best game being a 216. Jacob Prentice bowled a 210, a 223, and a 190 to finish with a 623.

UV/Norwich faces Deposit in their final regular season match of the season on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
