BOONVILLE – After picking up a win against Richfield Springs, the Sherburne-Earlville boys' basketball team traveled to Adirondack on Saturday for an CSC league game. S-E powered through in the second half to achieve a 42-31 victory. This win is their seventh of the season and second win in a row.
Adriondack was off to a hot start in the first half to take a 24-20 lead, but S-E was ready after the break. S-E took the lead in the third quarter, while holding the Wildcats to a combined seven points in the second half. First and second half efforts were led by Dilen Maceda, Parker Goedel, and Nick Hull. Goedel banked three three's in the second quarter with Maceda's four free-throws to go along. Maceda added in the second half while Hull dropped six points in the third quarter.
Maceda finished with 12 points as Goedel had nine points. Darren Miles hit two three's to add six points, along with Hull, as Garret Winton had five points in the win.
S-E (7-10) have just three games remaining, all tough matches ahead, including tonight's match-up against 15-2 Little Falls. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
