NEW BERLIN — The Village of New Berlin and the Easter Bunny have created an exciting easter egg hunt for children and their parents and look forward to the community’s annual Easter celebration.
The event will start at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at Hyde Park, located on North Main Street.
“The Easter Bunny will arrive in time for the official Easter egg hunt kick off at 1:00 p.m., rain or shine,” said Village of New Berlin Mayor Peter Lennon.
Lennon said the hunt-site will be broken into two zones. Zone one will be for children ages five and below; and zone two will be for ages six and above.
“In addition to the always popular chocolate treats, numerous local businesses have partnered with the Village to fill some eggs with coupons for special kid-appropriate prizes,” said Lennon.
He said this year’s special prizes include tickets to the Farmers Museum, tickets to an Otsego School of Dance recital, gifts from the Homestead Farm Store, coupons to the Classic Car Museum, food coupons for Kelly Banks Cupcakes, art supply baskets, and more.
“Candid photographs are always welcome,” he added. “Plus, children and parents are invited to join the bunny for more formal photographs in the park's gazebo.”
“What a great way to welcome the spring season,” said Lennon.
