NORWICH - The Monday Evening Musical Club will present pianist Dr. Kevin Moore and vocalist Dr. David Rudari in concert on Monday April 8.
This free concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main St. in Norwich. If you can’t join us in person, please live stream at: www.facebook.com/Mondayeveningmusicclub.
Both guest soloists are award-winning faculty members of the Onondaga Community College Music Department in Syracuse and active performers throughout the Central New York area.
Dr. David Rudari, an Associate Professor of Music, and Director of Choral Ensembles at OCC, is an active recitalist, guest conductor, NYSSMA Adjudicator, soloist and church musician. Dr. Rudari is the 2018 recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Faculty Service and the Paul F. and Veronica M. Abel Award for Outstanding Contributions in Choral Music from Civic Morning Musicals. Dr. Rudari will be accompanied by pianist Steve Uhl who teaches music at Ray Middle School in the Baldwinsville School District.
Moore obtained his PhD from the NYU School of Music as well as a Master of Music in Piano from the Manhattan School of Music and Bachelor of Music in Piano from SUNY Potsdam. Dr. Moore has been a Professor of Music at OCC since 2012, teaching Applied Piano, Music Theory, Composition, Keyboard Harmony and Piano Literature. In addition, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Syracuse University School of Law and previously served as Assistant to the President/General Counsel at OCC.
The Monday Evening Musical Club thanks the R. C. Smith Foundation for its generous support in bringing these performers to Norwich for this free concert.
As always, invites free-will donations for its Scholarship Fund, which was begun in 1954, to support Chenango County high school seniors going to college to study music.
