NORWICH – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County held its 4-H sewing camp last week and finished projects will be displayed at 6 p.m., April 12, at The Chenango Arts Council located at 27 West Main Street.

The evening of celebration will be filled with fun, refreshments, and awards in support of the sewing accomplishments completed by the 4-H camp participants.

The five day sewing camp classes started with a trip to the fabric store where 4-H camp students picked out fabric for their projects with the help from volunteers and the Collier family.

Sewing classes were filled with a range of ages, from young “Cloverbuds,” youths from five to seven, to the older and more advanced intermediate teens. A number of volunteers were readily available to assist and instruct when needed.

According to the Chenango County 4-H Youth Development the 4-H sewing groups completed projects on time and worked hard on their projects.
