BAINBRIDGE - Coming off a tough loss to Afton, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team regrouped and took on Harpursville on Friday. The Bobcats' bats lit up with 11 hits and four players contributing with two hits each in the 18-0 victory.
B-G kicked off a four-run second and third inning to go up 8-0 and had some more fun with a total of 10 runs to follow, going into the seventh. Damon Seymour led the team at the plate and on the mound. Seymour had two hits and a team-high four RBIs on the day, including a two-run double in the second inning. Austin Felzak added on in the third inning with a two-run single before Julian Pruskowski brought in a pair on a double. Pruskowski had two doubles on the day.
Damon Seymour knocked two more runs in the sixth inning, where the Bobcats scored eight runs. Brayden Swartwout walked to led-off the sixth inning, stole second, advanced to third and scored before Gavin Gifford walked. Gifford, Kaiden Seymour, and Isaiah Hampton walked to load the bases, setting up Aidan Haynes' two-run single. An error would bring in another run during Pruskowski's at-bat and then Damon Seymour scored the last run on a steal of home.
Seymour pitched the complete game four hit shutout, striking out 11 batters in the win and walking none.
