NORWICH — The Chenango Arts Council will be hosting a "Spring-A-Ding-Ding Cirque-tacular" in the Martin W. Kappel Theater, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.
Similar to Cirque du Soleil, Cirque-tacular features thrilling feats of aerial and ground acrobatics, dance, and glamorous costumes. Chenango Arts Council Administrative Assistant Mary Beth Miller said although the show is geared towards kids, individuals of all ages will enjoy the performance.
"It’s kind of dance, ballet, acrobatics, juggling," said Miller. "The costumes and themes are based on spring and woodland creatures and things like that ... A lot of the costumes are butterflies and birds and things, and I believe there’s a break dancing worm that’s in the show too, although I’m not 100 percent sure what they’re going to include."
The show is approximately 90 minutes long with no intermission. Tickets are on sale now at ChenangoArts.org, by calling 607-336-2787, at the Chenango Arts Council, and they will be available at the door the night of the show. Discounts are available for seniors, students, and Arts Council members.
