SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville golf team welcomed a tough Hamilton team to Mountain Top on a wet Tuesday afternoon. Both teams were on a win streak and both were undefeated prior to the match-up. Hamilton handed S-E its first loss with a close 161-163 victory.

S-E’s Balin Olsen became top medalist again as he shot a team-low of one under par with a 34, making improvements in every match. Hamilton’s Will Chouinard did one better with a 33, two under par.

S-E’s Garret Winton followed with a 41 as Parker Goedel shot a 43 and Avery Parsons rounded out the scoring with a 45. Hamilton’s other three golfers had two 42s and one 44 to seal the tight victory.

S-E (5-1) heads to Herkimer on Thursday at 4 p.m.
