BAINBRIDGE – It wasn’t easy but the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team picked up their 11th straight win with a 4-1 victory against Delhi. The Bobcats continue to reign the MAC standings, one game above Deposit-Hancock, who B-G will face next. Both teams are undefeated in MAC league play with an 8-0 record, going into this afternoon’s match-up.
B-G got on the board first with a run in the first before adding one in the second, and plated two runs in the sixth off Jayslin Henderson’s two-run homer. Gabby Cuozzo paved the way as she was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3, including a double and an RBI. Breanna Casey went 2-for-4 with an RBI single as Emma Kinter also had one of B-G’s seven hits on the day.
Cuozzo pitched the complete game, allowing one unearned run to score in the fifth inning after the runner reached on an error and came in to score. She also allowed five hits, walked two batters, and struck out 11 in the win.
