NORWICH – The Monday Evening Musical Club is proud to present this year’s scholarship winner, Caden Stone.

A free concert will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 6, at the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main St. in Norwich. If you can’t join us in person, please live stream at: www.facebook.com/Mondayeveningmusicclub.

Caden is a double bass player from Norwich who will be attending the Oberlin Conservatory as a double bass major in the fall. He plans to pursue a career as an orchestral performer and to teach private lessons. Caden has been taking private lessons from Steven Fayette in Rome and has assisted orchestra teacher Allison Rehn with music instruction at the Norwich Middle School.

In addition to Caden’s performance, MEMC will showcase advanced students: pianist Lindsey Spear from Hamilton, pianists Nora Collins and Ben Collins from Norwich, vocalists Leah Spence and Isabelle Voss from Norwich,

pianist Irene Barris from Oneida, pianist Clara Leach from Oxford, pianist Hudson Schwartz-Pumilio from Sherburne and vocalists Sybil Fenton and Savannah Walling from Sherburne. A vocal ensemble directed by Karen Clark-Snitchler from the Perry Browne 5th Grade Chorus will also delight our audience.

The Monday Evening Musical Club thanks all of the amazing, dedicated music teachers who work with our students. As always, MEMC invites free-will donations for its Scholarship Fund, which was begun in 1954, to support Chenango County high school seniors going to college to study music.
