OWEGO – The Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team suffered a 10-0 shutout loss to Owego on Tuesday. Norwich was held hitless, but had five runners reach base. Jaxson Francis, Jackson Sastri, and Zac Turner reached on walks while Zack Parker was hit by pitch and Turner also reached on a fielder’s choice.
Carmine Pastore earned the start with Graham Burton and Zack Parker coming in for relief. The trio combined with 10 strikeouts in the loss.
Norwich (1-13) hosts Johnson City on Thursday at 5 p.m. before facing Sus Valley in the final regular season game on Friday at the same time and place.
