BAINBRIDGE – After a devastating outcome, which left the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats out of the top four spots of the MAC to play for the title, the Bobcats answered back in a big way with a 11-3 victory against Walton/Downsville. B-G was so close to earning the fourth seed, but Delhi defeated Harpursville and had won against B-G earlier in the season, which broke the tie-breaker with both teams having a 5-4 league record. B-G’s bats came to play against Walton/Downsville as they racked up 11 runs on 13 hits.
Connor Davy was back at it again with another beauty of a home run to deep center field, which brought in Julian Pruskowski, who was stunning on the mound for the Bobcats. Davy finished with four hits and four RBIs, including a two-run single in the fifth inning. Damon Seymour had two hits, including a triple in the first inning to follow Davy’s home-run and scored on a sacrifice-fly from Brayden Swartwout, who drove in two runs. Damon Seymour and Tim Kinter both had two hits each.
B-G scored five runs on five hits in the fifth inning after Walton/Downsville answered back with two runs in the top of the fourth inning. B-G plated three additional runs in the bottom half of the same inning before a big fifth. Aidan Haynes and Kaiden Seymour brought in runs on singles, Davy hit his two-run single, and Swartwout was walked with the bases-loaded.
