SOUTH NEW BERLIN – The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club is back for the 2024 season. The first week wrapped up on May 1 with 17 teams in action. Team 16 and Top Notch Timber are tied with a 4-0 record, but Team 16 with Robert Glover and Will Eastman hold the six-point advantage over Keith Clark and Jim Bulger for the top spot. The Club also welcomed a few new members this year with others returning and changed the games to 40 shoes instead of 50.

Webster Paving, Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto, and Kelly’s Flowers round out the top five teams. The five, along with Carpet Protectors (Brian and Josh Prentice), all have a 3-1 record.

Tim Lidell of Fun Lovers swept the top men’s singles and men’s high series as Jess Sherwood earned both women’s singles and women’s high series victories. Fun Lovers (Lidell and Mike Grant) won three of the four team leaderboards with wins in the high singles, high series, and high series handicap. Webster Paving (Ed Webster and Bob Wells) won the team high singles handicap.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
