SHERBURNE – They say any day you learn something new is a good day, so learning three new things has got to be awesome! Rogers Center’s summer lecture series, Three Things Thursdays, brings in a presenter who is an expert in their field to discuss environmental issues.

The first presenter is Dr. Robert Raguso of the Raguso Lab at Cornell. His presentation will take place on May 16 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, titled “Chemical Ecology - The Interface Between Insects & Plants.”

The presentation integrates chemistry and biology, examining the chemical interactions between organisms and their environment. It’s a whole other language of the natural world that few of us consider beyond pheromones. Our senses are blind to most of these interactions, and Dr. Raguso will help lift the veil so you can discover some of the secret exchanges that occur around us every single day.
