Baseball: OV-C Falls To Stockbridge Valley

MUNNSVILLE – After facing Stockbridge Valley last week for senior night, the Otselic Valley-Cincinnatus baseball team traveled to Munnsville to play the Cougars again. The Vikings kept up and even took the lead late in the game, but Stockbridge answered back to win 6-3. OV-C drops to 4-7 on the season with two games remaining.

Both teams got on the board first with the Vikings adding one run in the top half of the inning and Stockbridge had two runs in the bottom half. Neither team would score again until the sixth inning. OV-C scored two runs to go-ahead 3-2, but Stockbridge had a four-run bottom of the sixth to regain and secure the lead.

OV-C scored three runs on four hits, two hits scored two runs as Troy Miller and Lukas Schieferstein both drove in a run on an RBI single. Avram Moses and Caleb Loomis also had one hit each.

Moses and Braeden Davis split time on the mound. Moses pitched five innings, allowing six runs, two of them earned, on six hits, three walks, and struck out six batters. Davis closed out the game with allowing just one hit and had one strikeout.
