BAINBRIDGE – After wrapping up the MAC playoffs, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team earned the sixth seed in the Section IV, Class C tournament, where they hosted 11th seed Delhi. B-G was happy to pick up the 15-5 victory when it mattered most on Friday afternoon against their fiery MAC opponent, who started off with a 5-0 lead.
Delhi got on the board with a five-run first inning, but that would be all from Timmy Kinter and the Bobcats defense. It was work for the Bobcats to trudge through, but they got a few runs back early on before they turned on the jets in the third inning. B-G took a 6-5 lead in the third inning and added on with four runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth to end the game.
Kaiden Seymour was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with four runs batted in. Connor Davy, who followed Kaiden in the lineup, drove in four runs with three hits, including an RBI triple. Damon Seymour had one hit and drove in three runs. Brayden Swartwout went 2-for-4 with an RBI as Parker Buttice and Aidan Haynes both added one hit and one RBI each. Gavin Gifford also contributed with a hit as everyone in the B-G lineup reached base and scored at least one run.
