NORWICH — The Norwich Theater Company (NTCI) will be hosting their fifth annual A Toast to Broadway fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Colonia Theater ballroom, located at 35 South Broad Street in Norwich.
The show is a cabaret-style performance in which cast members intermingle with the audience while performing songs from "The King and I," "Rent," "Phantom of the Opera," "Porgy and Bess," "Les Miserables," "Bye Bye Birdie," "9 to 5," "Wonderland," and more.
"The performers are right in the audience spending time with them when they’re performing ... There is table seating as well as tier seating. Performers sit with, sing to, and mingle with the audience throughout the show in a relaxed, fun atmosphere," explained NTCI President Marty Kuhn. " The evening is divided into 2 'acts,' and there is plenty of time to chat with the performers and other audience members."
Tickets are $25 and on sale now for individuals 21 and older at Service Pharmacy in New Berlin, Norwich, and Sherburne; at the Chenango Arts Council; by visiting NorwichTheaterCompany.org; or by calling 607-244-3852. Tickets will not be sold at the door; they must be purchased in advance no later than June 1.
The evening will include light refreshments and desserts provided by Nina's Pizzeria, a cash bar, raffles, and a complimentary champagne toast at the end of the night, with non-alcoholic options available.
