OXFORD — 6 On The Square will celebrate summer with four free Sunday concerts in Oxford’s Lafayette Park, right outside 6OTS’s doors.

All shows will start at 2 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will move inside 6OTS.

House of Hamill kicks off the series on July 7. Rose Baldino and Brian Buchanan first found themselves onstage together at the 2014 Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City. Four years and hundreds of shows later, the duo hired bass player Caroline Browning to fill out their sound.

Today, Pennsylvania-based House of Hamill is a fixture on festival stages across the U.S. and have shared their music and stories on the country’s premier folk stages. Fans love them best when they’re ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies into traditional folk ballads, or cracking up an audience with stories from the road.

Next up are the Porch Party Mamas on July 14. Inspired by playing and singing each other’s songs at their own "porch parties," these Boston-area musicians and singer/songwriters decided to combine their individual talents and create their own brand of urban folk, country, and blues. Among them, they have shared the stage with a distinguished litany of artists, including Willie Nelson, the Indigo Girls and Lyle Lovett.

The Porch Party Mamas have developed a unique blend of folk, country, Celtic, and blues repertoires. They play beautiful arrangements of lovely and whimsical songs featuring dynamic lead vocals and lush harmonies backed by guitar, fiddle, accordion, piano, percussion, banjo, and bass.

Big Sky Quartet performs on July 21. The award-winning folk/roots band from central Pennsylvania has been creating and performing original music together for more than 15 years. They are known for their joyful melodies, standout three-part harmonies, and uplifting live performances.

Traveling the East Coast and playing small and big stages, Big Sky Quartet connects with diverse audiences wherever they perform.

The concert series will wrap up on July 28 with Sara Milonovich and Daisycutter. Milonovich, an upstate New York singer-songwriter and fiddler, started on violin at age 4, and by 9 she was leading her own band and enjoying a rising regional reputation as a top-flight fiddler.

At 16, Sara dropped out of school and joined upstate Celtic bluegrass outfit The McKrells, recording two albums with the group and touring the U.S. and Ireland. Between accompanying other mentors — including folk legend Pete Seeger — she made her solo debut with 2009’s “Daisycutter,” an album whose moniker became that of her band. Her latest record, “Northeast,” was released in 2021.
