CHENANGO COUNTY – Following the conclusion of the 2024 softball season, the MAC league announced the list of softball all-stars who went above and beyond for their respective teams this year. These names are notable from many sports articles written about them and these athletes have shown pure strength among tough competition all season long.
The 2024 MAC softball MVP went to Ava Cirigliano of Sidney for her outstanding work this season, both on the mound and at the plate. Several local athletes made the MAC first and second-teams with Bainbridge-Guilford’s Alessandra Cafasso, Breanna Casey, and Gabby Cuozzo getting recognition for their hard work this season. Afton’s Makenna Schultz and Greene’s Cali Knapp and Abby Yahner shined for their teams to also make the first-team list, along with Oxford’s Lily Marshman, who reached a milestone of 100 career strikeouts as a Sophomore this season.
Afton’s Megan Racine starts off the second-team all-stars with B-G’s Jayslin Henderson and Danica Park. Greene’s Audra Doll and Claire Flanagan also made the list with Oxford’s Emmalee Reiss. Honorable mention went to Afton’s Misty Bushaw, B-G’s Brenna George, and Greene’s Rhea Malmquist.
