SHERBURNE – Any day you learn something new is a good day, so learning three new things has got to be awesome!
This month’s Three Things Thursday lecture takes place on June 20 from 7p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Rogers Center.
It will feature Kimberly LaCoe. LaCoe is DEC Region 7’s Waste Reduction and Recycling Outreach & Education Coordinator, but she has a passion for geology, which she shares with us tonight as she sheds light on the geology and fossils of Central New York.
“To understand geology, one needs a basic understanding of the Earth’s structure and
composition. To understand the geology of Central NY, one needs to understand the Earth’s surface and subsurface processes over time,” LaCoe said.
The program will dive into all this and more as LaCoe discusses the history of Earth’s surface processes and their impact on our Central NY neighborhoods, yards, and general geographical regions.
Registration is required. To register, call (607) 674 - 4733 or email ellen@friendsofrogers.org.
