NORWICH – The Norwich Post #189 Legion baseball team was back in action on Monday evening against Oneonta. The team played in back-to-back games to start the week with Sunday’s loss to Clinton and Monday’s latest drop to Oneonta 5-1. Norwich remains optimistic and continues to battle through tough games.

Oneonta got on the board in the first two innings to take an early 3-0 lead. Norwich added a run in the bottom of the second as Connor White came in to score on an error made by the opposing catcher. Aside from that lone run, Norwich was held to just one hit as Jackson Sastri had an infield single to second in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Otherwise, Norwich reached base six times on walks. Collin Reid and Kassen Stubb both walked twice.

Oneonta extended its lead with two additional runs in the top of the seventh.
