COOPERSTOWN – After a bye week, the Unadilla Valley Storm PONY League team was back in action on Tuesday evening on the road against Cooperstown. UV had won their first game of the season 11-10 vs Oneonta Weaver, so this marked just their second game of the summer. UV fell 18-2 to Cooperstown.

After being down 17-0 through three innings, the Storm got on the board with their lone two runs in the top of the fourth. UV had two runs on just one hit. After the first two batters reached base on a walk and on error, Nolan Lewis drove in one run with the team’s only hit on a single to center field. Lewis came in to score on two outs on a wild pitch. UV also reached base on four walks with two to Reed Osborne.

Osborne, Lewis, Zack Welch, and Teagin Eccleston all split time on the mound for UV. Lewis had three strikeouts in an inning worked while Welch went two innings with two strikeouts.
