Published: June 27th, 2024

CHENANGO COUNTY – There’s a new leader in town in the Tri-County Horseshoe League after the tenth week on June 20. After holding a consecutive lead, Betty’s Boys II slides down into second place after Octagon climbs ahead to take over the lead. Taking full advantage of Betty’s Boys II’s bye week, Octagon added 14 points with a 14-2 win over Ticknors to reign the boards. Octagon was two points back in the ninth week.

Betty’s Boys II may sit in second place for a brief moment, but they are sure to get back on track this upcoming week. Octagon and Betty’s Boys II are the only teams over 100 wins as Pond Crew is slowly getting there with 93 wins and in third place. Riverside and Betty’s Boys round out the top five teams.

Riverside and Bowlodrome tied at eight this week while Pond Crew pitched a 16-0 shutout against Seebers, still sitting at the final spot. Dam Team held on to a close 10-6 victory against Betty’s Boys while Hilltop snuck past Chuggers 9-7.

The Tri-County Horseshoe League meets every Thursday night.
