NORWICH – The fate of one of Norwich’s largest industrial facilities is looking up as private developers take interest in the commercial property that’s been on the market for more than a year.
According to sources, the outside investment company has a purchase intent for the property on Woods Corners, just outside city limits. The property had been home to several factory and administrative offices for Chobani but was vacated after the company’s expansion of its New Berlin plant.
While local officials are optimistic about the potential real estate deal, plans of creating an industrial park on site are “still in the exploratory stage,” according to Commerce Chenango President and CEO Sal Testani.
