EAST PHARSALIA — It’s no secret local farmers offer a healthier choice of foods, so why not purchase clean and fresh produce, eggs from free-ranging stress-free chickens and baked goods with no preservatives at the Pharsalia Farmers Market.
Every Wednesday through September, from 6 to 8 p.m., East Pharsalia holds a farmers market filled with farm fresh produce, live music, home goods, and a food truck at Coy Park, located on North Road off of County Road 10.
In case of rain, the market will be in the Pharsalia Volunteer Fire house located at 945 County Road 10 in East Pharsalia.
Lori Olsen-Nichols, steers the event, along with Jenn Teft and Melissa Miklas, and invites all to join in the fun and support local farmers and vendors on Wednesday evenings through the fall.
“I would just say that we love our community and are here for our local vendors,” said Olsen-Nichols. “We appreciate seeing our visiting friends from other towns enjoying our local artists, crafters and growers.”
She said they have live music and a food truck every week and have a good time sharing with the community and making new friendships.
“This all wouldn't be possible if it weren't for our volunteers and community partner, the Pharsalia Volunteer Fire house, who provide support and house us when the weather isn't cooperating,” Olsen-Nichols said.
