OXFORD – On Wednesday, July 3, Christopher Fuller of Oxford, 30, was charged with multiple misdemeanors and felonies after leading a sheriff’s deputy on a vehicle pursuit, reported Chenango County Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr.
“On July 3, 2024, a Chenango County deputy was in the area of North Plaza in the Town of Norwich. The deputy observed a dark blue pick-up truck pass him as he was leaving a business and recognized the operator, Christopher Fuller, and knew he did not have a valid license. The deputy then saw Christopher immediately start driving in a reckless manner and attempted to conduct a lawful traffic stop. Christopher failed to comply with the lawful order to stop while the deputy had his emergency lights and siren activated,” stated the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff, the deputy was certain Fuller was driving without a license because of recent encounters with the suspect.

According to the sheriff, Fuller drove for several miles into the Town of Norwich with the deputy chasing him until his truck broke down.
Police said Fuller hopped out of the truck and began to run into a wooded area with the deputy following close behind The deputy located Fuller in the wooded area and took him into custody without further incident. No one was injured.
According to the sheriff’s office, methamphetamine and fentanyl were found in Fuller’s vehicle, but he was not charged with being under the influence at the time of the pursuit.
