CHENANGO COUNTY — Commerce Chenango will be hosting their 2nd annual Taste of Chenango Music and Food Festival on Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Chenango County Fairgrounds.
Commerce Chenango President and CEO Sal Testani said the festival is a free, family-friendly way to highlight the food, agriculture, and products Chenango County has to offer.
"The Taste of Chenango is a celebration of all the things that make our community unique. We’ve tried to pull together as many of the different types of foods and beverages and farm products and the different things that we make and produce and sell in our county," he said. "We’ve tried to pull them all together and bring some really good music and try to let everybody celebrate what we think makes Chenango County special."
This year's event will include more than 50 vendors from Chenango County, including Hidden Springs Brewery, Columbus Public House, Nina’s Pizzeria, Chobani, Taco Grind, Pires Farmers Market, Pretty Pretzel, Little Farmhouse Lavender, Angela’s Pizza, Daydream Herbals, Cook’s Maple, Vasquez Empanadas, Rolling Scones, and more.
In addition to selling their goods, vendors will have $1 samples so visitors can try out their varieties of food, wine, and beer.
There will be fun activities for kids as well, including a Touch-a-Truck section with more than 25 trucks and farm vehicles, face painting, a character artist, and a craft area.
