SOUTH OTSELIC – On July 2, Otselic Valley Board of Education (BOE) offered the role of Superintendent of Schools to longtime Oxford Primary School Principal Brian Collier.

Collier began his career in education as a high school social studies teacher and boys varsity basketball coach at Norwich City School District before becoming the primary school principal at Oxford.

Collier then decided to seek a new opportunity and challenge to positively impact students, and the superintendent job opening seemed like a perfect opportunity to do so, he said. Collier shared his vision for strengthening Otselic Valley’s quality of education and community.

“I intend to develop a culture in Otselic Valley that actively seeks new opportunities and programs for students, all while nurturing meaningful relationships with students, parents, the community and faculty and staff members,” Collier said.
