Potter’s Tires Takes Over As The SNB Horseshoe Club Resumes Play

SOUTH NEW BERLIN – After weeks of extreme heat, rain, and tornado warnings causing delays, the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club has finally resumed play as of July 10. Last time out, Prolifiq Sign Studio was leading as of June 12, but since then, Potter’s Tires (Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards) have taken over the leadership.

Potter’s Tires is 31-9 with 6028 points with Ron Anderson and George Hanslmaier of Rustic Ridge behind them in second place with a record of 28.5-11.5. Webster Paving (Ed Webster and Bob Wells) move down to the third spot as Prolifiq Sign Studio (Tresta Smith and Kate Lloyd) now sit in fourth and Old Skool Lawnmower Repair & Service (Larry Shaw and Dan Raymond) rounds out the top five teams.

Rustic Ridge’s Ron Anderson swept the men’s leaderboards by winning both the top men’s high singles and high series. Anderson’s highest game was a 78 over Billy Schermerhorn’s 69 and Ed Webster’s 63. Anderson’s high series was a 192 over Tim Lidell’s 176 and Schermerhorn’s 166.

Kate Lloyd took both the women’s high singles and high series. She scored a highest game of a 58 over Sheryl Thurston’s 47 and Lisa Rowlands’ 41. Lloyd’s highest series was a 144 with Thurston’s 111 and Rowlands’ 97.

Aside from taking the lead in the Horseshoe Club, Potter’s Tires swept the team leaderboards. They won the team high singles with a 119 and the high series with a 323. They also took the high singles handicap with a 214 as Rustic Ridge and Old Skool Lawnmower Repair tied with a 210. Potter’s Tires won’t he high series handicap with a 608.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
