NORWICH – With repairs to the on-site burn building now completed, the Chenango County Office of Emergency Services (OES) is looking to its next undertaking to revive the fire training center in Norwich.
The department’s now taking on a $63,000 project to upgrade the driveway of the training center.
OES has $23,000 set aside to cover some of the project cost, according to Chenango County Emergency Services Director Matt Beckwith, and the county board of supervisors voted this month to use federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to foot the remainder.
