NEW BERLIN — The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation will be hosting an art auction fundraiser to benefit future artists who participate in their residency program.
"The benefit is to raise dollars for our residency program to support the artists coming from all over the world to explore new ways of working with innovative materials," said Golden Foundation Executive Director Emma Golden. "In 2017, we had an art auction that raised enough dollars for every artist to attend at no cost, but we want to do more. Our goal is to raise dollars to help contribute to the artist’s travel costs, food, studio supplies, and more!"
An online auction will begin on July 23 and run through August 5. To view artworks or make a bid, visit goldenfoundation.betterworld.org/auctions/golden-foundation-3-art-auctions.
Additionally, an in-person event will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on August 3 at Golden Artist Colors, located at 188 Bell Road in New Berlin. The benefit will include two auctions: a silent auction from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a live auction from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Guests can also enjoy an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and three chances to win a work of art.
Tickets are on sale now with early-bird pricing of $75 until July 29. To purchase a ticket, scan the QR code pictured or visit goldenfoundation.betterworld.org/events/golden-foundation-2024-auction. At the door, tickets will be $95.
