SPRING HILL – Spring Hill's Golden Soul Revue, based just 30 miles south of Music City, USA (also known as Nashville, Tennessee), is set to release its debut single at midnight on Friday, July 19.

Formerly known as the Brian Golden Blues Experiment, the band has deep ties to Norwich and the greater Central New York region, having performed dozens of shows across the state during bandleaders Brian and Aletha Golden's frequent trips north since the husband and wife duo first met in 2016. Born and raised in Norwich, guitarist Brian Golden wrote both lyrics and music for the new single, "Got No Time," which showcases the group's unique blend of Soul, Americana, Blues and Gospel, as well as Aletha Golden's powerful voice. Acoustic guitarist Dalen Page rounds out the band's core trio and traveled to Syracuse with the Goldens to record the track at the World Famous Moletrax East with friend and engineer Jeff Moleski.

"We knew, as a band, that "Got No Time" would be our first official studio release," said Brian Golden, "but we hadn't decided on a studio or a time to actually record it. When we realized that we would have a couple of extra days up north in early May, it just seemed like the right time to call up Mole (Moleski) and lay it down."

Featuring the musical talents of long-time collaborators Tom Westcott (bass guitar), Mark Nanni (keyboards), Byron Cage (drums) and Amber Bennett (backup vocals), "Got No Time" was recorded over the course of two days and spent weeks in the mixing and mastering phases of production. The song - and the change in the band's moniker - signal a new direction for the Goldens and Page; a sound rooted more in modern Americana and less in the blues and blues/rock genres that Golden has identified with in the past.

"That was a conscious decision on our part," said the guitarist. "When you have a vocalist as talented and inspiring as my wife, you have to respect that. And as much as I still love to plug in the electric guitar and let loose, our approach is now more song oriented, and the new single is a great representation of that."

Those interested in purchasing a digital copy of "Got No Time" can do so by visiting the group's Bandcamp page (www.goldensoulrevue.bandcamp.com) once it's released on Friday. In addition, the band is always looking to expand its fanbase and urged friends and family and music lovers of all ages to subscribe to its YouTube and Bandcamp pages, and to follow the band on social media.
