OXFORD - After meeting in early July, the Oxford and Norwich PONY League teams faced off for a second time on Thursday night. Oxford swept the two-game series with a 14-4 victory. It was Oxford's fifth straight win and sixth win on the season.

Norwich tried to get on the board in the first inning as Bo Brown led off with a walk, stole second, and advanced to third on a groundout. Unfortunately, Brown was caught stealing home on a nice play made by catcher Eddie Ingraham and pitcher Blake Barrows.

Meanwhile, Oxford scored four runs in the bottom of the first and continued on from there, including a five-run third inning. After being down 5-0, Norwich added three in the top of the third inning. The Purple Tornado was able to score one run in the top of the fifth inning to prevent Oxford from taking the game then. However, Oxford did score the final run in the bottom of the fifth to secure the 10-run victory.

For Oxford, Blake Barrows led the team with three hits and four RBIs. Uri Tracy had two hits and drove in a run while Adam Beckwith drove in three runs. Eddie Ingraham had two RBIs while Nic Dodzweit and Degan Endress both drove in a run.
