CHENANGO COUNTY – The 14th week of the Tri-County Horseshoe League wrapped up on July 18 with Octagon continuing to dominate the standings since passing Betty’s Boys II in late June. The top five teams remain put with Betty’s Boys II in second, Pond Crew in third, Riverside in fourth place, and Ticknors in the fifth spot. Ticknors has been pushing to get to 100 wins with 92, but also have Betty’s Boys creeping up from the sixth spot at 90. Hilltop went ahead of Dam Team in the seventh hole by one point. With a lot of time left, the standings could continue to shake up in weeks to come.
Octagon, who leads Betty’s Boys II by 24 points, defeated Betty’s Boys 13-3 this week as Chuggers, who is second to last, stayed still with a bye week. Betty’s Boys II picked up the big 13-3 victory against Ticknors while Bowlodrome sneaked by Hilltop 9-7. Riverside and Pond Crew also earned nice wins this week as Riverside took the 12-4 win over Seebers and Pond Crew wrapped things up with a 11-5 win over Dam Team.
The Tri-County Horseshoe League meets every Thursday night until the season concludes in September.
