NORWICH — James Hunter Six will be taking the stage at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, for the third performance of the NBT Bank Free Summer Concert Series season.
According to the Chenango Blues Association, James Hunter "delivers electrifying live performances with his authentic brand of rhythms and blues."
Hunter and his six-piece band has toured the world for decades; released six studio albums, with a seventh on the way; received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album, as well as an Americana Music Award for Best New/Emerging Artist; and Hunter has shared the stage with musical legends such as Aretha Franklin, BB King, Etta James, and Van Morrison. In 2024, James Hunter Six will also be the special guest on 50 shows with Bonnie Raitt.
"Whether belting out up-tempo R&B or crafting candle-lit ballads, James Hunter is a must-see artist who effortlessly draws from the depths of his musical well, leaving audiences captivated and craving more," said the Chenango Blues Association.
The free Thursday concerts will also include local eats from Nina's Pizzeria, Gilligan's Island, Hubcap Munchie's, Joe's Food Shack, and more. Visitors can also enjoy food and bar service in Park Place's Beer Garden.
