The practice is currently owned by four Partners: Dominic F. Shea, Pete DeRensis, Greg LaMonica, and Marci Lauren Riddell.

According to LaMonica, “All four partners have lived and spent time in big cities, but we chose to move to Norwich, New York to settle in and raise our families. Having a sense of community is important to everyone in this office. Brandon Foulds and I have been actively involved in coaching youth sports and each of us Partners serve on various community boards around the county. For example, Pete DeRensis sits on the board of Chenango Valley Homes who are currently in the middle of a major fundraiser, so we stay busy.”

Sonja Boehner, Operational and Administrative Manager, is testament to the sense of community. She has been with the company for 31 years, and according to Pete DeRensis, “Sonja is still going strong. She knows every client and their families which obviously makes her essential to the level of service we are able to provide our clients.”

In 2023, Norwich Wealth Management transitioned from one channel of Wells Fargo into another where they were able to become independent business owners, allowing them to make their own business decisions.

According to Riddell, “We took that opportunity to do some re-branding as well officially changing our name to Norwich Wealth Management. But while our relationship with Wells Fargo changed, our clients didn’t skip a beat. We still have best-in-class technology and resources at our finger tips through the Wells Fargo platform. This allows us to run our practice in a smaller community but continue to be connected to one of the world’s largest brokerage firms.”

When listing other developments, Riddell went on to say, “Within the last year we hired an additional staff member Hunter Hagenbuch. She has been a tremendous addition to the team here, so we are now seven total. Pete DeRensis was also PIM certified through the Wells Fargo Platform, adding to the long list of accomplishments he already has. Only 11% of advisors on the Wells Fargo Platform reach this level of certification. We have two advisors on our team at that level now.”

Recently, Norwich Wealth Management participated in the Chenango Women’s Leadership Conference.

Sonja Boehner said, “We were so proud and honored to be a part of and look forward to next year’s event. We have also partnered with Commerce Chenango to host an event Thursday evening October 24th at the Car Museum, which is shaping up to be a wonderful event we are excited about.”

Norwich Wealth Management operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, closing earlier at 4:00pm on Fridays. They encourage individuals to stop by the office regardless of an appointment. For further information, visit www.norwichwealthmanagement.com.
