NORWICH – After the game was suspended due to a tornado warning last Monday, the Norwich Purple Tornado and Sherburne-Earlville PONY league teams resumed the game on Tuesday night.

The score was tied at 2 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Norwich came out on top 10-4 to finish the regular season at 5-3.

Norwich got on the board early in the bottom of the first inning as a passed ball scored one and Pierce Sherman drove in a run on an RBI double to make it 2-0. S-E tied the game off two errors in the top of the third inning.

When the game resumed on Tuesday, Norwich broke the 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning with five runs scored. Two walks led off the inning before another walk came on two outs. With the bases loaded, Pierce Sherman drilled a two-run single to center field and Blayne Sutton followed with a two-run single to right field. Brooks Boland also drove in a run with an RBI single.

S-E got two back in the top of the fifth inning before Norwich added on. S-E had back-to-back one out singles by Collin Pattee and Tomek Jusianiec before a walk with two outs. Cooper Thorpe drove in both Pattee and Jusianiec with a long single to center field.
