SOUTH NEW BERLIN – After resuming full play in the previous week, Potter’s Tires (Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards) remains in control of the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club leaderboard as of July 17. They hold a 2.5 game lead from Rustic Ridge’s Ron Anderson and George Hanslmaier. Potter’s Tires have a record of 34-10 while Rustic Ridge is 31.5-12.5 with Webster Paving a half game behind them (31-13). Prolifiq Sign Studio and Kelly’s Flowers round out the top five teams while the latter part of the standings continues to be shaken up.

After Ron Anderson showcased the men’s leaderboard’s last week, Tim Lidell and Bob Wells split the top men’s this time around. Lidell scored the highest game of a 71 over Anderson’s 65 and Wells’ 64. Wells topped Larry Shaw and Billy Schermerhorn in the men’s high series with a 165.

Kate Lloyd swept the women’s leaderboards with a high game of a 57 over Sheryl Thurston’s 41 and Cindy Miller’s 37. Lloyd’s high series was a 144 over Thurston’s 110 and Miller’s 98.

Rustic Ridge took the team high singles with a 116 over Potter’s Tires’ 114 and Webster Paving’s 113. Webster Paving took the high series with a 319 over Potter’s Tires (305) and Fun Lovers (302). Old Skool Lawnmower Repair (Larry Shaw and Dan Raymond) earned both wins in the handicap game and series boards. They scored a highest game of a 222 over Rustic Ridge’s 216 and Potter’s Tires 208. Old Skool’s high series was a 633 over Potter’s Tires’ 587 and Webster Paving’s 586.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
