SOUTH NEW BERLIN – The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club wrapped up its July 24 outing with everyone standing still or moving one placement as far as the overall results go, but there are some teams inching closer to the top.

Potter’s Tires (Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards) remain in control for three consecutive weeks after play resumed. They hold a 2.5 game lead over Rustic Ridge’s Ron Anderson and George Hanslmaier. Behind Rustic Ridge, Webster Paving, Prolifiq Sign Studio, and Kelly’s Flowers are all battling and could easily sneak past Rustic Ridge or even the leader, Potter’s Tires if their play continues to improve.

Webster Paving’s Ed Webster and Bob Wells had a great week as they split the top men’s leaderboards and swept the team leaderboards as well, including both the high singles and high series handicaps.

Kate Lloyd of Prolifiq Sign Studio swept the women’s high singles and high series with a high game of a 61 over Lisa Rowlands’ 40 and Tresta Smith and Julie Raymond’s 31. Lloyd’s high series was a 172 over Rowlands’ 83 and Smith’s 78.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
