OXFORD – It should come as no surprise that the height of summer blooms to be offered at the Oxford Farmers’ Market this Saturday coincides with local children’s book writer and illustrator Suzanne Bloom being there to read for kiddos — of all ages.
Lafayette Park will be positively awash in colors — and smiles — of all kinds as we celebrate summer’s abundance and art and playfulness. 9 am - noon.
This Saturday, vendors will also be offering an abundance of locally-grown seasonal fruits, vegetables and mushrooms; locally raised and processed beef, lamb, pork and chicken; plant starts for your gardens; chicken and duck eggs; a wide range of cheese, butter, and other dairy products; artisanal breads and baked goods; fudges, and jams; local hard ciders; maple syrup and honey; hand-made healthy treats for dogs, hand-made soaps, lotions and balms; items for the kitchen and home; and artisan fiber products. Every product straight from a local source and the skilled hands of your neighbors.
And to top off the joy, the beautiful and melodious Khalil Jade will be performing in the Bandstand, 10 am - Noon.
