GREENE – On Thursday, August 8, Commerce Chenango hosted an event at Patocka’s Gastropub in Greene to show their appreciation for new chamber members.
The event was an opportunity for new members to dip their toes in the social side of Chamber membership and to network with each other over complimentary food and beverage.
Commerce Chenango President & CEO Sal Testani said, “Patocka’s was the perfect place to have our New Member Appreciation Event. Gary Parker and his daughter Alex have created an atmosphere that’s unique to our community. We are fortunate to have places like this right here where we live, and it was our pleasure to celebrate all our new members.”
Since January 2023, Commerce Chenango has amassed 108 new members.
According to Lu Dick, Commerce Chenango’s Membership Development Specialist, Commerce Chenango’s Member Retention rate is 95%. In the past year, only 13 members have been lost: 9 members did not renew their membership, and four members went out of business.
Over the past year, Commerce Chenango has worked to increase the value of membership by encouraging Community Business Spotlight articles, bolstering promotion and public exposure, and by offering more sponsorship and involvement opportunities.
